Luigi's is known not only for its Greek and Italian cuisine, but for it's "Old World Ambiance" and family atmosphere. First opened in 1949 by Nicholas Ballas, it has since then been passed down to his son, Chuck Ballas, in 1961 and is presently owned and operated by his grandson, Chuck Ballas Jr. For almost 50 years, local Augustans have enjoyed what Luigi's has to offer, and during the Master's Golf Tournament, for visitors and golfers, not to mention celebrities, dinner at Luigi's has become a tradition. Upon entering the restaurant, you are immediately aware of it's charm, the aroma of delicious homemade food and the friendliness as you are greeted by a family member, possibly one of the fourth generation great granddaughters.
